Work in the Dark with Cordless Drills

When man did not want to stop and wanted to work even in the absence of light and electricity, he evolved wireless drill machine. When you buy a cordless drill you are sure of not trailing 20 or 30 meters of electronic cable across a building, with all the confusion and danger that it comes with. Cordless drill comes with a lot of advantages:
a.    Trouble Free Work: Cordless drill can reach areas like inside cupboards, under sink, high on floors, walls and such other areas, where cable drill can be of great inconvenience.
b.    Built-in Work Light: One of the greatest advantages is that cordless drills come with an inbuilt LED work light and it can reach upto areas where light do not reach properly or rural areas where there is always a problem of no electricity. It is easily used to work in dark areas.
c.    Battery Life and Spare Battery: Cordless drills come with 2 batteries for maximum use at a time. Charging time for batteries are 3-4 hours and can be used upto 5-6 hours of continuous work. So, if one battery runs out and second are under work, first can be put on charge again and work can be continued without delay. There are 2 types of batteries available Ni-Cd which is Nickel Cadmium batteries and other is Li-Ion, Lithium Ion batteries. Li-Ion batteries are more expensive than Ni-Cd batteries as they come with shorter charging time. They need to be charged for 15-20 minutes instead of 2-3 hours of charging Ni-Cd batteries.
d.    Penetrating Power: Cordless drill comes with hammer action. It comes with a mechanism that revolves the chuck thousands of times a minute and adds penetrating power to the bit. Hammer action mechanism can penetrate tough materials such as concrete also.
e.    Increased Torque: They come with different levels of torque. Toque is defined as the twisting power. Rotating the handle of the drill clockwise or anti-clockwise produces a turning force that loosens or tightens the nut or bolt and helps to gain control over the drilling and the machine.
f.     Versatility: Cordless drills perform more functions than just drilling. Many of these drills come with drilling kit with different drill bits. Some have keyless SDS chucks which helps into drilling into masonry, metals and concrete. Some have kits that include a set of screwdriver heads too so that drill can be used as a screwdriver in different circumstances and requirements.

Electric drills made the jobs easier and cordless drills have made them easiest. Without worrying about electricity, light, the job can be performed smoothly without hassles and delay.

Birth of Electric Drill

It was around 35,000 BCE, when the Homo Sapiens discovered the benefits of the application of rotary tools. Not fully developed, they consisted of a pointed rock being spun between the hands to bore a hole through another material. This rudimentarily led to the birth of Hand Drill, a smooth stick that was sometimes attached to flint point, and was rubbed between the palms. Many ancient civilizations used this. The earliest perforated artifacts, such as bone, ivory, shells and antelers found are from the upper paleolithicera.
One most great advancement in drilling technology, i.e. the Electric Motor led to the invention of the Electric Drill. The credit goes to the Arthur James Amot and William Blanch Brain, who belonged to Melbourne, Australia.  They patented the electric drill in 1889. In 1895, the first portable handheld drill was created by brothers, Wilhem & Carl Fein, from Stuttgart Germany. In 1917 the first trigger switch, pistol-grip portable drill was patented by Black & Decker. This was the start of the modern drill era. Over the last century the electric drill has been created to the variety of types, and multiple sizes for an assortment of specific uses.

Hand tools
A variety of hand-powered drills have been employed over the centuries. Here are a few, starting with approximately the oldest:
·         Bow Drill

·         Brace & Bits
·         Gimlet
·         Hand Drill
·       Breast Drill, similar to a Hand Drill, it has a flat chest piece instead of a handle
·         Push Drill
·         Pin Chuck, it’s a jeweler’s drill

Accessories
Drills are often used simply as motors to drive a variety of applications, in much the same way that tractors with generic PTO’s are used to power ploughs, mowers, trailers, etc.
Accessories available for drills include:
·         Water pumps
·         Nibblers for cutting metal sheet
·         Rotary sanding discs
·         Rotary polishing discs

How Diamond Saw Blade Works

Each and every Diamond blade has its own specific and unique application and every blade reacts differently under various circumstances. Being found in hundreds of different varieties, types, bond types, and manufacturing methods, they have their own use. Blades which are ultra thin & of high precision, they are used for Slicing, Dicing, Wafering, Cut-off, Singulation, Grooving, Slotting, Cross Sectioning, Sample Preparation, Gang Sawing, Slabbing, Rough Cutting applications.

In simple words it is a cutting tool which has exposed diamond particles captured in a metal matrix each with a small cutting edge.

§  Diamond blades are usually made with a steel core or completely impregnated with diamond.
§  During the diamond cutting operation, the surface speed may reach 30 m/sec, if using a high speed diamond cutting saw.
§  The cutting action is performed by accumulation of small chips scratched out by the numerous diamond particles impeded in the bond.
§  The number of cutting edges which is determined by the number of diamonds makes up the structure of the diamond blade, along with its matrix, metal or nickel bond.
§  The size of the diamond particle will have a direct result in the size of chip we can obtain. The thickness of the diamond blade (diamond particle plus matrix) will determine the width of the cut.

Therefore, diamond blade selection along with feed rate, cutting speed, and depth of cut will ultimately determine your diamond sawing success.

Our diamond blades have the following advantages:

·         Minimal Chipping
·         Faster Cutting Action
·         Minimal Cutting Noise
·         Minimal Loss of Material

Tools & Us

Tools, for the human race has been the backbone of its civilization. Tools have always played a pivotal role in the advancement of mankind. It is evident from the history of the prehistoric man, they experimented and invented handmade tools to make their lives easier. Times changed and tools etched an important place for themselves in the life of mankind. Tools impacted the day-to-day life of human in more ways than one. Life today is not just about survival, but a constant process of continuous evolvement. It is eminent that we understand the vital role of tools in the life of human beings.

Yking has successfully launched various tools that have become the lifeline of present day lives. 15 years on and Yking with an ever-growing presence in the market has been constantly engaged in making power tools available to the world. With an ISO 9001 certified facility to our credit, our R&D team is engaged in constant upgradation of existing products as also developing new tools to facilitate the ever growing needs. Every tool passes through numerous stringent quality tests to ensure client satisfaction.

While power tools are extremely helpful, they also produce large amounts of noise and vibrations. Using power tools without hearing protection over a long period of time can put a person at risk for hearing loss. Most power tools, including drills, circular saws, belt sanders, and chainsaws operate at sound levels above the 85 dB limit, some even reaching over 100 dB. For the safety purpose only, Yking, lays emphasis on features like low noise operation, high performance, high durability, user friendly, easy to repair, reasonable price and above all sturdy and long lasting for their products. Yking Tools through its products considers it a priority to deliver high quality service, enabled by excellent market insight and advanced production and testing equipment.

The road to success may be long, but the destination is within sight. Yking’s operation policy is based on Humane Technology and Scientific Management, constantly improving on their quality of products delivered to ensure customer satisfaction.
